 Seppur in maniera "elitaria", "Desire" si avvicina così ad una forma canzone più classica.

 L’atmosfera fortemente onirica, e la fitta coltre di suoni cesellata in fase di arrangiamento, fa assomigliare "Desire" più ad un incubo che ad una canzone.

Tuxedomoon è un collettivo americano nato a San Francisco nel 1977. Fondato da Steven Brown, Blaine L. Reininger e Peter ‘Principle’ Dachert, si è trasferito in Europa nei primi anni ’80 (Belgio) sviluppando un linguaggio ibrido tra elettronica, musica da camera e post‑punk. Tra i lavori chiave: Half‑Mute (1980), Desire (1981) e il classico No Tears.
