E rieccomi qui, questa volta vi porto un disco che si abbina decisamente al mio nickname.
Il disco in questione è "Scream" di Chris Cornell, sì quello dei Soundgarden e degli Audiosla... no aspettate... è davvero la stessa persona che ha scritto e cantato canzoni come "Black Hole Sun" e "Cochise"? Siete sicuri?
Fatico a crederci; no perchè, dovete sapere, quello che le mie casse del pc stanno trasmettendo non mi sembra nè grunge nè tantomeno hard rock nè qualsiasi altro genere collegabile con i progetti passati del cantante.
Un disco con Timbaland, vi rendete conto? Un'amalga informe e puzzolente di pop/dance tanto cara al produttore di colore (che però si è dimostrato capace di fare il proprio lavoro componendo e producendo "Innoncence" di Bjork presente nel suo ultimo disco "Volta"); i pezzi dell'album suonano tutti alla stessa maniera: beats di batteria elettronica sintetici, asettici e assolutamente fuori posto per il tipo di artista; tastiere "noise" che ricordano la nuova tendenza della musica house; la voce di Cornell, a tratti difficilmente irriconoscibile (colpa dell'auto-tune??) che improvvisa una voce soul/R&B in maniera vergognosa; coretti tipo "oh" "eh" pieni zeppi di vocoder tipici delle produzioni di Timbaland e un tocco spanish che ora come ora vende decisamente.
Cosa centra tuto ciò con questo personaggio? Pensare che io riponevo ancora delle piccole speranze nel primo disco di Cornell da solista...
Brutta cosa la fiducia.

In conclusione: cd inascoltabile, copertina evocativa.
