Jefferson Airplane

Jefferson Airplane sono una band rock di San Francisco, formata nel 1965, tra i pionieri della psichedelia. La formazione classica comprende Grace Slick, Marty Balin, Paul Kantner, Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady e Spencer Dryden. Con Surrealistic Pillow (1967) e brani come Somebody to Love e White Rabbit raggiungono il successo; partecipano a Monterey Pop (1967) e Woodstock (1969). Si sciolgono nel 1972, con reunion nel 1989; da loro nasceranno Jefferson Starship e il progetto Hot Tuna.
