Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble è una band blues-rock statunitense guidata dal chitarrista e cantante Stevie Ray Vaughan, nata dalla scena di Austin. Formazione classica: Vaughan, Tommy Shannon (basso), Chris Layton (batteria) e, dal 1985, Reese Wynans (tastiere). Album chiave negli anni ’80 e performance live leggendarie hanno consolidato il loro ruolo nel Texas blues elettrico.

Origine: Austin, Texas. Line-up: Stevie Ray Vaughan (voce/chitarra), Tommy Shannon (basso), Chris Layton (batteria), Reese Wynans (tastiere dal 1985). Album fondamentali: Texas Flood (1983), Couldn't Stand the Weather (1984), Soul to Soul (1985), In Step (1989). Live notevoli: Montreux 1982 e 1985; Carnegie Hall 4 ottobre 1984. Brani celebri: Pride and Joy, Texas Flood, Crossfire. Strumenti: Stratocaster “Number One”, corde di grosso calibro. Vaughan è scomparso nel 1990 in un incidente in elicottero dopo il concerto di Alpine Valley.
