Azz stavamo scrivendo in contamporanea... che bello, ci ho azzzzzeccato!!! :D

E' zzzzzzz la più titolata a risponderti, ma ti anticipo che se non vuoi "destrutturazione" la vedo un po' dura trovarti bene con qualsiasi album di Xiu Xiu. Per me il migliore è "A Promise", il meno destrutturato, a un primo ascolto, questo. La parola a zzzzzz :)

Bella recensione. Io però quest'album l'ho sempre trovato tutt'altro che fresco, anzi un po' troppo impastoiato, farinoso, non sono mai riuscito a mandarlo giù. Eccezion fatta per la filastrocca... Tra tutte le canzoni descritte sottolineo Innocent When You Dream, "colonna sonora di una solenne ciucca" (sia "barroom" che "78"), parole azzeccatissime. Il disco sarebbe da 5, ma non proprio come altri di Tom, quindi gli metto ahimè un bel 4. PS Grazie per il link, Hal!
